# LinkInstantCard

To link an account to an instant card, you can send a `POST` request to the following endpoint:

<mark style="color:yellow;">`POST`</mark> `/api/Card/v{{version}}/Interswitch/LinkInstantCard`

The request body should contain the `cardId` of the card being issued and the `accountNumber` it should be tied to.

This endpoint streamlines the process of preparing an instant card for use, offering a single call to associate the card with its account before physical issuance.

{% hint style="info" %}
An instant card must have an account tied to it at the point it's requested. Once linked, you're expected to print the customer's name onto the blank card using your card printing machine.
{% endhint %}
