Loan Awaiting Disbursement

This figure updates in real time, allowing administrators to track and prioritize pending loan releases efficiently. A consistently high number may indicate bottlenecks in the disbursement process that require attention.

NPL Ratio

The NPL Ratio displays the percentage of loans in the institution's portfolio that are in default or at risk of default. A lower NPL ratio indicates a healthier loan portfolio, while a higher ratio signals increased credit risk requiring immediate attention. This metric updates in real time, enabling executives and risk managers to monitor portfolio quality and take prompt corrective action where necessary.

Customer Growth Analytics

The Customer Growth Analytics widget displays a line graph tracking customer acquisition growth over time. Users can filter the data by year using the year selector at the top right of the widget. The graph highlights monthly fluctuations in customer growth, enabling administrators to identify trends, evaluate the effectiveness of customer acquisition strategies, and make data-driven decisions to drive institutional growth.

Recent Activities

The Recent Activities widget displays a real-time timeline of system events, including user actions and updates to customer account limits. Each entry shows the activity type and the exact time it occurred. To view the complete activity log, click the View All button at the bottom of the widget.

  • Asset: the total value of everything the institution owns or is owed

  • Liability: the total value of the institution's financial obligations to external parties

  • Income: total revenue generated by the institution

  • Expense: total costs incurred during the period

  • Profit or Loss: the net financial result after expenses are deducted from income

A positive figure indicates profitability, while a negative figure signals a net loss requiring strategic review.

The following account statuses are represented:

  • Active: accounts currently in use with regular transactions

Loan Portfolio Risk Summary

The Loan Portfolio Risk Summary provides a breakdown of the institution's loan portfolio by risk classification. Each classification reflects the likelihood of repayment and the level of intervention required:

  • Performing: loans being repaid on schedule with no cause for concern

  • Pass and Watch: loans showing early signs of stress that require monitoring

  • Substandard: loans with clear repayment difficulties requiring active management

  • Doubtful: loans where full recovery is uncertain and provisions may be required

  • Lost: loans considered unrecoverable and written off or provisioned in full

This breakdown enables risk managers and executives to assess the quality of the loan book and determine appropriate provisioning and recovery strategies.

Portfolio At Risk Summary

The Portfolio At Risk (PAR) Summary measures the proportion of the loan portfolio that is at risk of default, broken down by the number of days payments are overdue:

  • PAR 7 Days: loans overdue by 7 days or more

  • PAR 30 Days: loans overdue by 30 days or more

  • PAR 60 Days: loans overdue by 60 days or more

  • PAR 90 Days: loans overdue by 90 days or more

  • PAR 180 Days: loans overdue by 180 days or more

  • PAR 360 Days: loans overdue by 360 days or more

A rising PAR figure across any time bucket is an early warning indicator that warrants immediate review of the institution's loan recovery and collections strategy.

Asset Quality Ratio

The Asset Quality Ratio widget displays three key ratios that measure the relationship between the institution's loans, deposits, and savings:

  • Percentage of Loans to Deposits indicates how much of the institution's deposit base has been deployed as loans. A high ratio may signal liquidity risk

  • Micro Loan as a Percentage of Total Loan shows the proportion of the loan book dedicated to micro lending products

  • Savings as a Percentage of Total Deposits reflects how much of total deposits are held in savings products

These ratios help executives assess the institution's liquidity position, lending concentration, and deposit structure at a glance.

Top 10 Depositors

The Top 10 Depositors table identifies the institution's ten largest depositors by ledger balance. For each depositor, the following information is displayed:

  • S/N: sequential number

  • Account Number: the depositor's account number

  • Account Name: the name of the depositor

  • Product Type: the account product the depositor holds

  • Ledger Balance: the current balance in the account

  • % of Total Deposits: the depositor's share of the institution's total deposit base

This widget highlights deposit concentration risk, if a significant portion of total deposits is held by a small number of customers, the institution may be vulnerable to sudden liquidity pressure if those customers withdraw.

Top 10 Risk Exposures To Customers

The Top 10 Risk Exposures to Customers table identifies the ten customers with the highest outstanding loan balances, representing the institution's largest credit risk concentrations. The following details are displayed for each customer:

  • S/N: sequential number

  • Account Number: the customer's account number

  • Account Name: the name of the customer

  • Product Type: the loan product associated with the exposure

  • Outstanding Balance: the total amount currently owed by the customer

  • % of Total Exposures: the customer's share of the institution's total loan exposure

BVN & NIN Compliance

The BVN & NIN Compliance widget displays a bar chart showing the compliance status of the institution's customer base across account tiers, in line with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) regulatory requirements. The chart categorizes customers into four compliance groups:

  • Has BVN Only: customers verified with a Bank Verification Number only

  • Has NIN Only: customers verified with a National Identification Number only

  • Has BVN and NIN: customers fully verified with both identifiers

  • No BVN and No NIN: customers with no verification on record, representing a compliance risk

The data is broken down across Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, and a Total column, giving compliance officers and executives a clear view of KYC gaps that require immediate remediation to meet CBN regulatory standards.

Best Practices

  • Review the Executive Dashboard at the start of each business day, the NPL Ratio, Portfolio At Risk Summary, and Balance Sheet Snapshot provide an immediate view of the institution's financial health and any risks that need attention

  • Monitor the Portfolio At Risk Summary across all time buckets regularly, a rising PAR figure in the shorter time buckets (PAR 7 and PAR 30) is an early warning sign that requires prompt action from the collections and recovery team

  • Use the BVN & NIN Compliance widget to track KYC gaps across account tiers, institutions with high levels of unverified customers face regulatory risk from the CBN and should prioritize remediation

  • Pay close attention to the Top 10 Depositors widget, a high deposit concentration in a small number of accounts represents a liquidity risk that should be factored into the institution's liquidity management strategy

  • The Income Statement Snapshot provides a period-to-date view, cross-reference it with the full Income Statement report in the Reports section for a complete picture of financial performance
